About the author

Welcome to the Imani Winds blog! The season is in full swing and its been very exciting. We've traveled back and forth all over the United States (and beyond) doing what we love to do. Our Legacy Commissioning Project continues with new works by Danilo Perez and Simon Shaheen and our fifth release on E1 Music is out. The album, entitled "Terra Incognita", features new work by Wayne Shorter, Paquito D'Rivera, and Jason Moran. With this blog, we hope to share things we see and hear on the road -- and especially what's inspiring us along the way. And don't forget to stay tuned for updates on our summer Chamber Music Festival at The Juilliard School.
